Well hail!

As you can see by this photo, we had a heck of a hail storm about 15 minutes ago. I found out I'd left one of my truck windows down, on the side the wind was coming from. Luckily it was only a couple inches but there were hail stones inside. And the bunny barn is now wet in a few places. And my poor trees, all those little green spots are shredded leaves. I hope they can overcome this damage.

Surprise, surprise!

I woke up to this lovely sight this morning at 6 o'clock. I knew it was trying to snow when I went to bed but it managed to figure it out. We're lucky compared to the southeast corner of the state and the Denver area. And we, of course, need the moisture for the upcoming harvest seasons, but it was still a shock.

Most of the trees and bushes are already leafed out so don't know what they're thinking. I don't think this will last long as the ground is very warm.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh Spring

At least in Wyoming. This is what I woke up to this morning, about six inches on the flat ground. It's also only 30 degrees out there plus windy, not a pleasant day so far. By tomorrow we'll be much nicer, this white stuff should be gone, or mostly gone. then the poor bushes and trees that are budding will be able to recover.....I hope.

Not done yet

Right now, 4 o'clock on Tuesday afternoon, it is 73 degrees outside. Tonight the prediction is in the 20's with 70% chance of snow. Tomorrow in the 30s with the same percent of snow. My poor bushes and trees, they're starting to leaf out. I hope this doesn't cause too much damage.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh Fall

This is the view outside my front door this beautiful September morning here in Cody, Wyoming. I knew it was predicted but never thought we'd get this much snow on the ground. It's 32 degrees outside but by tomorrow a lot of this snow will be melted away as they say we will have sunny and bright weather again.

Whoa! ! ! !

This isn't a gigantic tornado but it is a storm sitting over Cody. Sara took this on her cellphone when in Powell. In a matter of a half hour the rain stopped and now the sun is out so we're steaming. And the weeds are growing taller and stronger as I watch them.

The bad news is that I had five bags of cavy food in the back of my truck so they were a bit damp. Luckily only a couple handfuls of feed were slightly soggy, the rest I poured into many buckets to get them out of the paper bags.
